Blackpool Sands is one of South Devon's best family-friendly beaches. The Venus Cafe serves excellent food, there are toilets and showers, a beach shop and a bar, just down from the lovely village of Stoke Fleming.
4 loops of the bike means you will see your supported athlete every couple of hours to cheer them on! As the run is also out and back you will be able to cheer your athletes on at multiple times during their event.
On Saturday why not visit old Dartmouth and the castle?
Parking up near iconic Start Point lighthouse you'll be able to cheer your athletes on the out leg and again on the return. There will be a food and drink station for them to refuel, giving you a quick sweaty hug before they continue.
The turn-around at the 21k half way point. Just another 21k to finish. Food & drink station #3 will be located at the coastguard shack. Runners have to go round it before heading back. The views here are utterly spectacular.
No visit to the South Hams would be complete without a visit to Dartmoor. Perhaps on the Thursday pre-race, or Monday post-race? If you have never been on Dartmoor, make sure you get an afternoon up there, it's unforgettable.
