This race is an iconic destination for long distance triathletes the world over. Why?
It is both one of the most scenic routes in the world as well as one of the most challenging.
With over 3,500m climbing and a stunning coast path marathon, you will have to dig deep to finish by midnight.
The 2020 event was the first, a pilot trial of this epic course.
The only ones invited to race were members and friends of the Royal Marines family, serving or retired servicemen and women, and a handful of very experienced iron-distance endurance athletes.
Each athlete was self-supported and each participated in the fundraising for the RMA.
The winning time of 11hours 32min will take some beating.
Maximum kudos to Royal Marine Will Tyrrell-Moore. We are sure your course record will stand the test of time. (challenge anyone?)
We organised the 2020 pilot event under pandemic guidelines as a small, self supported race purely for the RMC charity, raising a whopping £13k+.
If you enter in 2021 you pledge to raise a minimum of £166.40, up to a maximum of £1664. Why 1664?
That was the year the Royal Marines were born here.
This event is held in the spiritual home of The Royal Marines, literally in their stomping grounds.
Before registration we will email you the GPX course files so you can download them to your GPS-capable sports watch and bike computer.
